OBJ visits IBB, hugs Atiku at airport

FORMER president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, on Tueasday, visited former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, at his Hilltop residence in Minna, Niger State capital Babangida returned from a medical treatment in Germany, recently.

The former president also met with his former deputy, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, at Minna International Airport, where the two former leaders hugged each other.
While Obasanjo was in Minna to visit Babangida, the former vice president, who had earlier visited the former military president, was in the town to grace the presidential declaration of the Publisher oof Leadership Newspaper and a presidential aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Sam Nda-Isaiah
Obasanjo, who arrived in an aircraft with registration number G DOUR, along with Senator Andy Uba, Chief Oyewole Fashawe and a unidentified lady at about 4.30 p.m. and was about to be conveyed to IBB’s country home, saw Atiku at the airport.
The former vice president, who was already seated, awaiting clearance for his flight, had to stop the pilot, alighted and headed straight for the waiting car to greet Obasanjo, with the duo hugging each other.
A black BMW car, marked  ABJ 01 RJ, later took Obasanjo to Babangida’s residence, in company with Mohammed Babangida.
At the IBB residence, journalists were prevented  from entry, but a source informed the Nigerian Tribune that Obasanjo only came on a solidiarity visit to IBB.
The two leaders met for about 30 minues after which Obasanjo left for the airport.
